The Castle Law Story
Castle Law traces its roots to one of Will County's oldest existing law firms, the predecessor firm “Brumund & Jacobs.” Brumund & Jacobs was founded by Charles M. in 1960 and served clients throughout Cook, Will, DuPage, Kendall, Grundy, Kankakee and surrounding counties. The firm has always had a general practice with individual lawyers who specialize in specific areas of law.
In 2003, Firm Founder, Gary K. Davidson believed in contemporizing the legal industry and it started with a name change to Castle Law. Castle Law is a metaphor to represent one of the firm's core beliefs which is to minimize a client's risk and maximize their return. Given its foundation as a “transactional practice” the term Castle seemed fitting to represent its core practice areas of Real Estate, Estate Planning, Corporate Law, and Commercial Litigation.
As the firm grew, the vision led to allowing solo and small firm practitioners join by creating economies of scale by moving from trading time for dollars and owning their own job to being part of a company whose core mission is to help its attorneys, staff and clients have a life worth living, a career worth having, and a legacy worth leaving.
The first law firm to merge and come under the Castle Law umbrella was the well know local Joliet, IL firm of Dystrup, Hoster and Jarot, where current Managing Partner, Edward “Ed” Jarot, Jr. bolstered Castle Law's Estate Planning and corporate practice groups providing high level expertise in both areas.
Today, Castle Law has offices throughout the Chicagoland area and continues to build on Mr. Davidson's initial vision by providing cutting-edge, contemporary legal services while exceeding employee and client expectations.
