LORIN CASTLEMAN

Certified as a Specialist in Taxation Law
California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization

Lorin Castleman graduated in 1963 from the University of California, Berkeley, with a major in philosophy. In 1967, he received his Juris Doctor degree from the College of Law, Syracuse University, where he was a member of the Law Review. While attending Syracuse, he won the International Moot Court Competition in Toronto, Canada.

Mr. Castleman practices in the areas of wealth transfer, trust and estate planning, business transitions, corporations, partnerships, business, and tax law. He has been certified as a specialist in taxation by the Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California since 1981.

He is a member of the State Bar of California, the Taxation and Estate Planning Sections of the State Bar, the Alameda County and Eastern Alameda County Bar Associations, The American Bar Association, and the Taxation, Business Law, and Probate and Real Property Sections of the ABA. Mr. Castleman is the past-president of the Tri-Valley Estate Planning Council, and past Chair of the Taxation Law Advisory Commission for the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization.  He is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.

RAYMOND B. McFALONE

Born April 2, 1954, in Toronto, Canada; B.A. degree in 1977 from San Jose State University with a major in history - graduated with distinction; J.D. degree in 1981 from Western State University College of Law. Mr. McFalone has practiced law in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1982. He has been associated with The Castleman Law Firm since 1989.

Mr. McFalone's practice emphasizes estate planning, probate and trust administration.

He is a member of the State Bar of California and the Alameda County Bar Association. He is a frequent speaker on various estate planning topics.


DEBRA L. NOLAN 

Debra L. Nolan is a graduate of San Jose State University with a degree in communications.  She received her Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University Law School in 1982.

Ms. Nolan represents individuals and business owners in contract and business disputes; her practice also includes will and trust contest litigation, elder law, employment law and real property matters. Ms. Nolan also represents clients at administrative hearings, arbitrations and mediations.

She is admitted before the courts of the State of California, U.S. Court of Appeals, Northern and Eastern District Courts, and the District of Arizona.  Ms. Nolan has served as a volunteer mediator in Alameda County.  She is a former Alameda County Sheriff’s deputy and Contra Costa County deputy district attorney.
